Apple (AAPL) Skips Updating on Pre-Order Numbers for iPhone 5C

September 16, 2013 3:37 PM EDT
Silence is golden, but not in all cases.

Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) is dipping Monday as the company has yet -- if at all -- to announce pre-orders numbers on its iPhone 5C. Generally, the company announces pre-orders results within the first day or so of a new device launch, but the market has only seen a bit of information for China Unicom (NYSE: CHA), not exactly Apple's largest wireless partner.

The company might also be waiting until the iPhone 5S goes on sale this Friday. Pre-orders aren't available for the iPhone 5S and Apple might be waiting until then to disclose any further data.

Shares of Apple are down 3.4 percent.
