Apple (AAPL) Shares Fall as No Surprises Unveiled at Event

Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) CEO, Steve Jobs, just ended the company's special event being hosted in San Francisco today. Here are some highlights from the conference:
  • iTunes has added HDTV shows and will once again have NBC content
  • the iPod Classic will now be offered with a 120 GB capacity and a price of $249
  • a new iPod Nano has been unveiled; the device will be offered in 8 different colors and will be priced at $149 for the 8GB model, $199 for the 16GB model
  • a redesigned iPod Touch has been released; the device is thinner and has a built-in speaker for casual listening. The 8GB device will cost $229, the 16GB device will cost $299 and the 32GB model will cost $399
  • Apple's new App Store has only been online for 60 days, but has had over 100 million downloads so far
Shares of Apple spiked as the conference began at 1 PM ET, moving as high as $159.96, but began selling-off as the the event went on. The stock is now down 3.2%, or $5.12, to $152.79.
