More news on the much-speculated Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) wristwatch device.
VentureBeat today noted that Apple has moved to trademark the "iWatch" name in Russia. The report comes from Russian news source Izvestia.ru.
Though Apple hasn't officially announced a watch-like device yet, recent comments from CEO Tim Cook during AllThingsD's D11 conference recently, as well as speculation surrounding whether or not Apple placed orders for 1.5-inch OLED screens, all point to a smaller device in Apple's future.
Apple is also said to have grabbed a trademark for "iWatch" in Jamaica last December, something it could use to lever an argument for trademarks in other markets.
Shares of Apple are down 0.9 percent.
