Okay, but really its eight that makes a streak, right?
According to data released Thursday, Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone topped the list of smartphones receiving the best customer satisfaction reviews, according to J.D. Power.
Apple got a score of 839 out of 1,000. Ease of operation and features performed exceptionally well. HTC was second with 798 points.
LG and Sanyo tied at 716 for the best customer satisfaction with traditional handsets.
The biggest concern was battery life. J.D. Power reported battery performance for 4G phones was 6.1 out of 10, compared with 6.7 points for 3G-enabled phones. The firm said: "Part of this difference stems from the fact that new 4G smartphones use substantial battery life searching for next-generation network signals, which tend to be scarcer than 3G signals. In addition, owners of 4G-enabled smartphones use their device more extensively–they talk, text, email, and surf the Web more often than do customers with 3G smartphones or traditional handsets–which puts a significantly higher demand on the battery."
Shares of Apple are just about flat on the session Thursday, following a late-day dip Wednesday.
