With Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) fresh off of its Q1 report, investors want to know: how many Macs will the company ship this year?

Thankfully, Digitimes pulled through with some estimates. According to the company's research, Apple will ship around 20 million units for 2016, which is a similar to that seen for 2015.

New MacBooks and iMacs will bolster average selling prices (ASPs), the firm noted.

Supply chain sources said production of 12- and 13-inch MacBooks will commence in late Q1 or early Q2, with 15-inch display variations starting production in Q3.

Shipments of Mac product rose 4 percent last year, while revenue increased 2.6 percent.

Shares of Apple are up around 0.4 percent.
