Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) is 2.5% higher today ahead of the launch of the 3G iPhone on Friday.
Many analysts have been positive on Apple ahead of the launch, saying the lower $199 price point will drive sales of the device. Some have even predicted that iPhone sales could double in 2009. Apple's iPhone partner AT&T (NYSE: T) will be subsidizing a large percentage of the new iPhone in hopes of gaining long-term subscribers to their wireless network.
