Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) is beginning to sell unlocked versions of its iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
9to5mac noted the event late Thursday.
The unlocked devices will come SIM-card free, so purchasers will be able to go to the carrier of their choice and get a sim card. This assumes that the carrier and iPhone are wireless band compatible.
Shares of Apple are indicated higher Friday morning.
