Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) is said to have acquired Prss.
According to TechCrunch, Prss is a digital magazine startup which makes it easy to crate iPad-compatible magazines. The software could be described as an iPad-focused version of iBooks Author.
Value of the deal was not disclosed, though Apple went with its typical response when asked to comment on the acquisition: Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans.
Shares of Apple are lower in early trading Wednesday.
