Apple (AAPL), NTT DoCoMo Said to Strike iPhone Deal - Nikkei

According to Japan's Nikkei, NTT DoCoMo will begin carrying Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone starting this fall.

One items included in the deal includes DoCoMo meeting sales quotas. The Japanese telecom had been struggling in its contract with KODI with respect to carrying the iPhone.

Apple will hold an iPhone event on September 10th in the U.S. and is expected to hold another event on September 11th in Beijing.

Shares of Apple are down 0.7 percent Thursday.
