Apple's (AAPL) Proposed HQ Gets More 'Chocolatey'

December 7, 2011 9:59 AM EST
With the surge in popularity -- not to mention share price -- for Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL), it's no question a new, more advanced office building would be needed to match the company's prowess.

Introduced in June, Apple's new campus looks like a delicious (but thin), glazed doughnut (H/T to Krispy Kreme (NYSE: KKD)). Or a flying saucer minus the middle. Or like an old-tyme portrait without all the riff-raff.

Anyway, big improvements include: a nearly-doubled fitness center size (25K sq. feet to 45K sq. feet), the roof is now darker (i.e. - the doughnut's chocolate glaze), more parking for the auditorium is available, and total height of the building is listed at 18 feet, from 30 feet prior.
