Amazon.com (AMZN) Trims Prime Membership 26% This Weekend

Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN) is offering its Prime membership at a notable discount this weekend as it celebrates an Oscar nod for Mozart in the Jungle.
In a press release early Thursday, Amazon said, Also starting Friday January 15, at 9:00 p.m. PT and concluding at 11:59 p.m. local time, Sunday January 17, and in celebration of Mozart in the Jungle’s multiple wins at the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards, Amazon Prime will be available for just $73.
Amazon's Prime membership usually runs $99 per year, up from $79 a few years back.
Shares of Amazon are indicated lower early Friday.
