Amazon.com (AMZN) Offers 30-Day Trial of Fire TV to Some Customers

Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN) is offering-up free trails of its Fire TV to some customers.

Engadget said Amazon will allow a certain number of its customers to try the $99 Fire TV for 30 days. If the customers aren't satisfied, they can send it back.

It wasn't made clear whether the customers were already Prime members or simply those that spend a lot of money on the site and are not yet Prime members.

Those selected will be able to return the device if they're not satisfied, per Amazon's return policy.

Shares of Amazon.com are positive Thursday afternoon.

Notably, Western Digital's (Nasdaq: WDC) TV Live has similar features as Fire TV and allows for streaming of your own home movies, videos, musics, etc. File support includes MPEG, MP4, XVID, MOV, and others. And, it costs $10 from WD's website. We're not promoting WD TV Live, we're simply pointing out that there are many choices out there.
