Amazon.com (AMZN) Launches Uber-like 'Amazon Flex' Delivery Program

Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) is looking to bolster its delivery service is a very Uber-like way: have regular people become part of the logistics process.
The company announced Amazon Flex today. The service allows participants to make $18 - $25 per hour by delivering packages using a car and an Android smartphone.
Participants will be able to work for two, four, or eight hours per day and schedule work up to 12 hours in advance. Other requirements include being 21 years of age or older and passing a background check.
The service is currently only available in Seattle, but it will be coming soon to Manhattan, Baltimore, Miami, Dallas, Austin, Chicago, Indianapolis, Atlanta, and Portland.
