Amazon.com (AMZN) Cuts Fire Phone Price to $199 Unlocked

Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN) is now offering up its Fire Phone starting at the discounted rate of $199.

According to media reports, Amazon's 32-GB GSM Fire Phone will be priced at $199 without a contract. That's down from a previous price of $650 unlocked, or $199 with a two-year AT&T (NYSE: T) contract.

The Fire Phone also comes with a year of Amazon Prime access, which has an annual membership fee of $99.

Shares of Amazon are indicated higher early Wednesday.
