Alcoa (AA) Slumps After-Hours Following Global Smelting Cut

Alcoa, Inc. (NYSE: AA), shares are trading nearly 1 percent lower following an earlier announcement that it would be closing or curtailing about 12 percent of global smelting capacity, and taking a fourth-quarter post-tax charge of 15 cents to 16 cents per share.
