Advisors Split on Separation of RIM's (RIMM) Chair and CEO

June 27, 2011 5:39 PM EDT
Ratings firm Egan-Jones said it:
  • recommends Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM) shareholders vote for election of directors; and
  • Holders should vote against resolution to split Chairman and CEO roles.
On the other side of the spectrum, proxy adviser Institutional Shareholder Services, a unit of MSCI, recommended shareholders vote for the split of the Chairman and CEO roles.

The news comes as Glass Lewis & Co. made a recommendation last week on splitting the Chair and CEO roles.

RIM's shareholder meeting will occur on July 12th.
