ABRI Jumps on Earnings; Traders May Need A Second Look

ABRAMS INDUSTRIES, INC. (Nasdaq: ABRI) is 91% higher after the company reported Q4 earnings of $0.82 per share versus earnings of $.34 per share from the year ago quarter. What traders might not be focusing on here is the fact that all the gains were from discontinued operations ($1.00 per share gain). The company reported a loss from continuing operations of $0.18 per share.

Fourth quarter revenues from continuing operations were $5,818,353, an increase of approximately 23% from last year. For the full fiscal year, revenues from continuing operations were $22,795,356, up approximately 84% from the comparable year-earlier period.
