While Acme Packet, Inc. (Nasdaq: APKT) got hit with a downgrade this morning, another interesting data point could paint a better picture about the company.
After the close it was disclosed that Director David Elsbree bought 9,500 shares on 8/15 at $16.89-$16.90, bringing his stake to 20,637.
It was a very rare insider purchase. The last insider buy was also from Elsbree back in early 2011, although at that time shares were at much higher levels (~$73). Luckily, he only bought 200 shares at that time. Before that, you'd have to go back to 2008 to find any insider buying activity.
