Starfighters Space begins trading on NYSE American under ticker FJET
Starfighters Space, Inc. (NYSE AMERICAN: FJET) began trading on the NYSE American at 10:30 a.m. EST under the ticker symbol "FJET," the company announced.
The aerospace company, which operates from NASA's Kennedy Space Center, raised $40 million in connection with the listing to fund research and development, scale operations and develop its STARLAUNCH I and STARLAUNCH II programs.
The STARLAUNCH programs are designed for sub-orbital launches of small satellites and payloads using the company's fleet of F-104 supersonic aircraft. The programs are currently in development.
"With FJET officially trading later today, Starfighters has become the first space company to transition from a Regulation A Tier 2 offering to listing on the NYSE," said Rick Svetkoff, CEO and founder of Starfighters.
Starfighters operates what it describes as a fleet of modified supersonic aircraft configured to carry payloads up to 45,000 feet for air launch to space. The company also provides pilot training, space flight training and hypersonic testing services.
The company plans to begin launches from Texas and expand its hypersonic research and development platform, according to the press release.
