Miami International Holdings Inc. announced it has launched the roadshow for its initial public offering of 15 million shares of common stock. The company plans to price shares between $19 and $21 each and has granted underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 2.25 million shares.
The company's common stock has been approved for listing on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "MIAX." J.P. Miami International Holdings operates as a technology-driven company that builds and operates regulated financial markets across multiple asset classes. The company filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission, though it has not yet become effective.
The holding company owns multiple exchanges including Miami International Securities Exchange, MIAX PEARL, MIAX Emerald, MIAX Sapphire, MIAX Futures Exchange, MIAX Derivatives Exchange, Dorman Trading, The Bermuda Stock Exchange and The International Stock Exchange.
Four of its exchanges are registered national securities exchanges with the SEC that offer options trading, with MIAX Pearl also providing cash equities trading. MIAX Futures is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and offers trading in products including Minneapolis Hard Red Spring Wheat Futures.
The company noted that shares cannot be sold until the registration statement becomes effective, and the press release does not constitute an offer to sell securities.
