HCM IV Acquisition closes $287.5 million SPAC IPO on NASDAQ

HCM IV Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: HACQU) completed its initial public offering of 28,750,000 units at $10.00 per unit, raising $287.5 million. The offering included 3,750,000 units from the underwriter's full exercise of its over-allotment option.



The units began trading February 12, 2026 on the NASDAQ Global Market under the symbol "HACQU." Each unit contains one Class A ordinary share and one-fourth of one redeemable warrant. Whole warrants are exercisable to purchase one Class A ordinary share at $11.50 per share.



The Class A ordinary shares and warrants are expected to trade separately on NASDAQ under the symbols "HACQ" and "HACQW" respectively once separate trading begins.



The blank check company plans to identify businesses providing technology or innovations within the financial services industry. The company states it will focus on acquiring established businesses that need assistance to maximize their potential value.



The company is led by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Shawn Matthews, Chief Financial Officer Steven Bischoff, and President Shawn Matthews Jr.



Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. served as sole bookrunner for the offering. The Securities and Exchange Commission declared the registration statement effective February 11, 2026.
