6K Additive Inc. completed its initial public offering on the Australian Stock Exchange, raising A$48 million at A$1.00 per CHESS Depositary Interest. The metal powder manufacturer began trading under ticker symbol ASX: 6KA with a market capitalization of A$267 million and enterprise value of A$206 million.

The Pennsylvania-based company produces metal powders for additive manufacturing and alloy additions for the aluminum industry. The IPO proceeds will fund expansion plans at its Burgettstown facility, aiming to increase powder production capacity from 200 metric tons to 1,000 metric tons.

The expansion is supported by a US$23.4 million grant from the U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Production Act Title III program. Construction is underway at the company's 45-acre headquarters to accommodate up to ten additional UniMelt plasma systems and new structures for feedstock preparation and ingot melting operations.

6K Additive recently secured approval for a US$27.4 million Export-Import Bank loan facility to finance construction of four new buildings and equipment acquisition for titanium and nickel powder production. The company reported a sales pipeline of US$240 million as of November 2025, representing a US$10 million increase over two months.

"The IPO and resulting capital fast-track the realization of our vision and achieve the scale with attractive unit economics and unique material breadth required by customers in defense, aerospace, energy, and medical markets," said Frank Roberts, CEO and Managing Director.

The company serves customers in aerospace, defense, space, medical, energy, and automotive sectors. Its manufacturing process utilizes proprietary UniMelt microwave plasma technology to produce various metal powders including nickel, titanium, copper, tungsten, rhenium, niobium and tantalum.
