Oppenheimer upgraded Riverbed Technology (NASDAQ: RVBD) from Perform to Outperform with a price target of $30, following strong checks in US/European channels.
The firm believes Riverbed's 4Q11 sales are tracking in line with to slightly above expectations due to a typical year-end flush. In addition, the firm said traction and interest in the company's newer products (Whitewater, Steelhead 7050, Stingray) seem to be rising although they don't expect tangible progress until the 2nd half.
