Jefferies Upgrades Lattice Semiconductor (LSCC) to Buy

Jefferies upgraded Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: LSCC) from Hold to Buy with a price target of $8 (up from $6).

The firm said their checks show that Lattice's strategic focus on mid-range and low-end FPGA/PLD is likely to continue driving share gains from 10x larger competitors Altera (Nasdaq: ALTR) and Xilinx Inc. (Nasdaq: XLNX).

"Our discussions with management increase our confidence that recent restructuring actions are likely to deliver improving operating leverage. We expect the stock to be revalued higher as investors appreciate the changes at Lattice."
