Tesla's software engineering VP David Lau steps down - Bloomberg
Investing.com -- David Lau, the vice president of software engineering at Tesla Inc., has announced his departure from the company, according to Bloomberg News, citing people familiar with the matter. Lau, who has been with Tesla for nearly 13 years and served as vice president since 2017, has been a key figure in promoting the automaker's products alongside CEO Elon Musk.
Lau's team has been in charge of the software in Tesla's vehicles. This includes overseeing infotainment and information security, managing over-the-air software updates, as well as cloud services and manufacturing systems. His departure marks a significant change in the company's leadership structure.
