Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Inc. (NASDAQ: RMCF) has appointed Al Harper as Interim Chief Executive Officer and Principal Executive Officer for a 180-day term, effective June 30, 2026.

Harper previously served on the company's Board of Directors. The Durango, Colorado-based chocolate franchisor said it does not anticipate changes to its strategic direction or day-to-day operations as a result of the transition.

"Al brings decades of executive leadership experience, a deep understanding of franchising and consumer brands, and a long-standing connection to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and the Durango community," said Mel Keating, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Harper has held chief executive, board member, and strategic advisor roles across franchised businesses, consumer brands, and publicly traded companies, according to the company's statement.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory operates more than 250 retail locations across the United States, with several international locations, through a franchise model.
