Macy's names Alexandre Choueiri as Bluemercury CEO

Macy's, Inc. (NYSE: M) has appointed Alexandre Choueiri as Chief Executive Officer of Bluemercury, the company announced. Choueiri is set to join on August 3, 2026, reporting to Olivier Bron, CEO of Bloomingdale's.
Choueiri brings more than 25 years of experience in the global luxury beauty industry across North America, Europe, and Asia. He most recently served as CEO and President, Americas, at Kering Beauté, where he oversaw the company's largest region and helped launch fragrance brands including Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga. Before that role, he spent more than two decades at L'Oréal, including serving as Global President of Ralph Lauren Fragrances. Earlier in his career, he worked as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company in France and Australia.
In his new role, Choueiri will oversee Bluemercury's business and growth strategy. He will remain based in New York City.
"Alex is a proven global leader with deep beauty expertise and a record of leading complex global organizations," said Bron in a statement included in the press release.
Bluemercury operates as a luxury beauty retailer with locations across the United States and is one of three retail nameplates under Macy's, Inc., alongside Macy's and Bloomingdale's.
