Helen of Troy appoints G. Scott Uzzell as CEO effective September 2025

Helen of Troy Limited (NASDAQ: HELE) announced that its board of directors has appointed G. Scott Uzzell as chief executive officer, effective September 1, 2025, according to a company statement.



Brian Grass, who has served as interim CEO, will return to his role as chief financial officer when Uzzell assumes leadership of the consumer products company.



Uzzell most recently served as corporate vice president and general manager of Nike North America, overseeing operations that generate more than $21 billion in revenue with over 30,000 employees. He was previously president and CEO of Converse for four years, where he led a turnaround focused on product innovation.



Prior to his roles at Nike, Uzzell served as president of Coca-Cola's Venturing & Emerging Brands Group, where he developed a portfolio including Honest Tea, Body Armor, Health-Ade Kombucha and Fairlife Milk. He began his career in sales and marketing at Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, and Nabisco.



Timothy F. Meeker, chairman of Helen of Troy's board, stated the appointment followed an executive search process and that the board unanimously selected Uzzell. Meeker thanked Grass and Tracy Scheuerman for their leadership during the interim period.



Uzzell holds a bachelor's degree in business from Florida A&M University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He currently serves on the SC Johnson Company Board of Directors and boards at Florida A&M University and University of Chicago Booth School.



Helen of Troy designs and markets consumer products through brands including OXO, Hydro Flask, Osprey, Vicks, Braun, Honeywell, PUR, Hot Tools, Drybar, Curlsmith, Revlon, and Olive & June.
