Relypsa (Nasdaq: RLYP) shares surged higher and were paused for volatility Thursday afternoon following speculation that the company is reviewing offers from potential suitors.
UPDATE - Reuters said that Relypsa is in talks with Centerveiw Partners Holdings to review the offers. Talks with potential suitors are in early stages and may not lead to deal.
In December, StreetInsider.com first reported that Merck (NYSE: MRK) was interested in a deal with Relypsa.
Shares are up over 46 percent.
