Zeekr introduces fast-charging LFP battery

Premium Chinese electric vehicle maker, Zeekr on Thursday unveiled their new fast charging lithium iron phosphate batteries.
Zeekr joins the ranks of manufacturers introducing a new battery into a highly competitive market. This move aims to reduce reliance on external suppliers for crucial components in EVs.
located within a battery facility under Zeekr's parent company, Geely Holding Group, located in Zhejiang province, the company announced that its upcoming 007 sedan will pioneer the utilization of these batteries.
The new battery boasts the capability to charge to a range of 500 km (300 miles) within just 15 minutes, complemented by an 800-voltage electric system.
To support its advanced 800V electrical system and fast-charging battery technology, ZEEKR plans to expand its fast-charging infrastructure throughout China.
The company aims to build 1,000 charging stations by the end of 2024, housing over 10,000 360+ kW charging units. As of November, Zeekr has successfully inaugurated 407 fast-charging stations, encompassing more than 2,300 individual charging units.
