Twitter is reportedly looking to offer its Twitter Blue subscription product for $7, which is lower than the price previously mulled by CEO and owner Elon Musk. However, this price is only valid if users are logging in and paying via the website.
If, on the other hand, Twitter users want to pay via the iPhone app, the price then changes to $11, according to the Information.
The report adds that Twitter changed its plans to account for a 30% commission on any payments made by users via Apple’s (NASDAQ: AAPL) App Store. The report didn’t mention Twitter’s plans for users using Google’s (NASDAQ: GOOGL) Android platform.
Twitter is also keen to attract more users to its platform rather than for them to use the services of other companies.
