Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) said it is continuing production at its Shanghai plant after suspending operations for two days to curb the latest coronavirus outbreak in China.
The electric carmaker resumed production after a sufficient number of workers returned to work from nearby residential compounds where they spent 48 hours and completed testing for Covid–19.
The Shanghai factory will continue operating around the clock like before the suspension. The suspension was announced on Wednesday when Tesla sent a notice internally and to its suppliers.
The automaker said it was taking all necessary measures to maintain production at its Shanghai plant while also complying with China's COVID-19 prevention measures.
