Mullen (MULN) to debut ultra-high-performance FIVE RS

Electric vehicle manufacturer, Mullen Automotive (NASDAQ: MULN) announced Wednesday the debut of their ultra-high-performance Mullen FIVE RS EV Crossover. According to the release, the RS will be featured on the upcoming “Strikingly Different” EV tour, which kicks off on Aug. 20, in Austin, Texas.

“I want to encourage shareholders to continue sharing thoughts and opinions with Mullen, and remember we are working together to achieve great things, including pushing the boundaries of EV performance and electrifying the world,” said CEO David Michery.

The FIVE RS is an ultra-high-performance EV with a top speed of 200mph. The crossover boast an acceleration from 0-60mph in less than 2 seconds.

The vehicle is also equipped with 800-volt architecture, all-wheel drive, a two-speed gearbox, and over 1,100 horsepower.

Due to the high-powered capabilities of the FIVE RS, consumers will not be allowed to test drive the vehicle directly. Instead, Mullen will provide an opportunity for customers to experience a ride in the Mullen FIVE RS with a skilled professional race car driver.

Shares of MULN are down 3.66% in mid-day trading on Wednesday.
