Mullen (MULN) completes solid-state cell to pack integration

Mullen Automotive (NASDAQ: MULN) announced Wednesday that successful completion of solid-state polymer cell to pack integration for the Mullen ONE Class 1 EV cargo vans.

With pack development now finished, the solid-state Battery Management System (BMS) and pack-level testing are scheduled to begin on December 28, 2023. This advancement ensures that the Company stays on track to initiate on-vehicle road testing of the solid-state polymer packs in the Class 1 EV cargo van during the first quarter of 2024.

The Mullen ONE, using solid-state polymer cells, offers enhanced safety and efficiency without compromising on payload capacity. Its key features include a 190-mile estimated range, a 72-kilowatt solid-state polymer battery pack, a 4,881 lbs. GVWR, and a maximum payload of 1,603 lbs.

Additionally, it boasts a cargo volume of 157 cubic feet and a tight 20-foot turning radius, showcasing its versatility and agility among electric vehicles.

“We continue to make significant progress in fulfilling our commitment to providing the next-generation of battery technology to our lineup of EV vehicles, providing a clean and safe alternative to current lithium-ion batteries,” said CEO David Michery.

Shares of MULN are down 1.04% in afternoon trading on Wednesday.
