Stocks gained Wednesday despite minutes from the lastest FOMC meeting which showed the Fed is laser-focused on getting inflation under control. Amid the upside, several rumors swirled around Wall Street. Below we highlight a few:
ACI Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACIW) gained over 13% on reports from Bloomberg News it is in talks with private equity firms about a potential sale.
Jefferies Financial Group (NYSE: JEF) jumped over 13% after it was reported that Japan's SMFG is eyeing a larger stake in the U.S. securities giant.
Aurinia Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: AUPH) gained over 13% on vague rumors it could be the target of a takeover from the likes of Bristol-Myers Squibb (NYSE: BMY). Traders pointed to a speculative article in a merger-focused publication.
