3 Rumors Flying Around Wall Street Today
The Dow and S&P 500 failed to hold gains today, while the Nasdaq eked out a small positive move. However, that didn't stop multiple rumors from flying around Wall Street. Below we highlight three of them:
- Ryder System (NYSE: R) shares surged 15% after a report from Bloomberg News that P/E firm Apollo Global is exploring a takeover. Earlier in the year, the company rejected an $86/share takeover approach from HG Vora. However, financing could be a problem this time around given the current market for debt.
- DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) failed to hold gains despite some chatter that P/E firm KKR is looking at the company. Last week rumors first surfaced that the company hired a banker after an approach from an unnamed private equity firm.
- Peloton (NASDAQ: PTON) was back in the rumor mill as a takeover target as the company continues to execute on its own. Despite the rumors, shares still closed the day down.
