Ipsos names Jean Laurent Poitou as new chief executive officer

Ipsos announced Jean Laurent Poitou will become chief executive officer on September 15, replacing Ben Page whose term ends on that date. The board of directors made the appointment decision on August 19.

Poitou is an engineer and graduate of École Polytechnique with more than 30 years at Accenture in Europe, the United States and Asia in senior international management positions. For the past four years, he has led the "Digital and Technology Services" practice at Alvarez & Marsal across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Page, who became global CEO in November 2021, will remain in the role until September 15. He spent 38 years at Ipsos, joining MORI (now Ipsos UK) as a trainee and later serving as CEO of the UK and Ireland business before his global appointment.

"Having spent 38 years at Ipsos, joining MORI (now Ipsos UK) as a trainee, and later spending many years as CEO of the UK and Ireland business, and since 2021, Global CEO of Ipsos, now is a good time to hand over the reins at the age of 60," Page said in a statement.

Poitou stated he will "draw on my experience in growth and innovation in Europe, Asia-Pacific and worldwide within major professional services firms to accelerate Ipsos' development."

Ipsos operates in 90 markets and employs nearly 20,000 people. The company has been listed on Euronext Paris since July 1999 and is part of the SBF 120 and Mid-60 indices.
