Melvin Capital closed out its GameStop (NYSE: GME) short position gone-wrong, CNBC's Andrew Ross Sorkin reported.
The hedge fund had seen losses mount related to the position and has received $2.75 billion in fresh cash from fellow hedge funds Citadel and Point72 related to the GME losses and others.
