JANA Partners announced it has partnered with NFL player Travis Kelce and executives Glenn Murphy and Dave Habiger in an investment in Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: FUN). The group collectively owns approximately 9% of the theme park company.

JANA Managing Partner Scott Ostfeld disclosed the investment at the 13D Monitor Active-Passive Investor Summit. The investment firm plans to engage with Six Flags' board of directors and management regarding opportunities to enhance shareholder value and improve guest experience.

"I am a lifelong Six Flags fan and grew up going to these parks with my family and friends," Kelce said. "The chance to help make Six Flags special for the next generation is one I couldn't pass up."

Glenn Murphy brings 30 years of consumer industry experience, having served as CEO of Gap Inc. from 2007 to 2014 and CEO of Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation from 2001 to 2007. He currently serves as executive chair of Petco Health and Wellness Company and Wella Beauty.

Dave Habiger is a technology and media executive who currently serves as vice chairman of J.D. Power, where he was previously CEO from 2018 to 2025. He has led several technology companies through acquisitions, including Textura Corporation's sale to Oracle in 2016 and NDS Group's sale to Cisco Systems in 2012.

JANA Partners was founded in 2001 and invests in undervalued public companies, engaging with management teams and boards to unlock shareholder value. The firm stated it may continue trading in Six Flags securities and that its ownership stake may vary over time.
