Falcone's Harbinger Makes Early, Larger Interest Payment to Jefferies (JEF)

Harbinger Capital Partners, run by Phil Falcone, is said to have made a $48 million payment on a $190 million loan from Jefferies Group (NYSE: JEF), according to headlines out Monday.
The payment was both a week-and-a-half early as well as one-half million dollars more than expected, according to Bloomberg.
In order to make the payment, Harbinger sold out of some of its holdings. Specific stocks or positions weren't disclosed at the time of print. No comment has also been made by Harbinger.
The next payment Harbinger will need to make in $47.5 million at the end of July, with the balance of the loan due out at the end of October.
