Can Nelson Peltz Get Pepsico (PEP) to Split Up?

While Pepsico (NYSE: PEP) management has been adamant that the company won't break-up, investors are getting a feeling that this decision could change... with a little agitation.

Nelson Peltz's Trian Fund hedge released 13F for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 on Monday, showing a new 2,355,093 share position in the in the beverage and snake leader.

Peltz is famous for pushing management to make value-creating changes and some feel that is just what Pepsico needs.

Shares of Pepsico are up 2.4 percent Tuesday on hope that Peltz can make a difference with his new investment ~$150 million investment.
