ZTO Express reports preliminary 2025 revenue growth amid profit decline
ZTO Express (Cayman) Inc. (NYSE: ZTO) announced preliminary financial estimates for 2025, projecting total revenues between RMB48.5 billion and RMB50.0 billion, representing a 9.5% to 12.9% increase from RMB44.3 billion in 2024.
The Chinese express delivery company estimates gross profit will range from RMB12.2 billion to RMB12.6 billion in 2025, marking a decrease of 8.5% to 11.4% from RMB13.7 billion in 2024.
Revenue growth stems primarily from increased parcel volumes, which rose from 34.01 billion in 2024 to 38.52 billion in 2025, a 13.3% year-over-year increase.
The company stated these preliminary estimates are based on currently available information and have not undergone audit procedures or review by independent registered public accounting firms. The figures are subject to revision upon completion of year-end financial closing processes.
ZTO operates through an extensive network in China, providing express delivery and logistics services. The company uses a network partner model for pickup and last-mile delivery while controlling line-haul transportation and sorting operations.
The preliminary results will be superseded by official financial statements in the company's fourth quarter and full year 2025 earnings release. ZTO has indicated it will not update these preliminary estimates before issuing the official earnings report.
