Xperi cuts 2025 revenue outlook on macroeconomic uncertainty

Xperi Inc. (NYSE: XPER) reported preliminary second quarter 2025 results and reduced its full-year financial outlook due to macroeconomic uncertainty affecting customers.
The entertainment technology company posted revenue of $105.9 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, compared to $119.6 million in the same period last year. The company reported adjusted EBITDA of $15.2 million, or 14.4% of revenue, versus $14.6 million, or 12.2% of revenue, in the prior year quarter.
Xperi generated $10 million in positive operating cash flow and $5 million in free cash flow during the quarter. The company reported a GAAP net loss of $14.8 million, or $0.32 per share, compared to a net loss of $30.3 million, or $0.67 per share, in the second quarter of 2024.
The company updated its fiscal year 2025 revenue outlook to a range of $440 million to $460 million, down from the previous guidance of $480 million to $500 million. Adjusted EBITDA margin outlook was lowered to 15% to 17% from the prior range of 16% to 18%.
Chief Executive Officer Jon Kirchner stated that changing macroeconomic conditions created increased uncertainty for customers, impacting financial results. Despite the revised outlook, the company reported progress on growth metrics, surpassing 3.7 million TiVo One Monthly Active Users, three million global IPTV subscriber households, and 12 million vehicles on the DTS AutoStage platform.
Xperi plans to release complete financial and operating results after market close on August 6, 2025, according to the press release statement.
