Viper Energy closes Sitio Royalties acquisition, raises Q3 guidance

Viper Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: VNOM) completed its acquisition of Sitio Royalties Corp. on August 19, according to a statement from parent company Diamondback Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: FANG).
Diamondback raised its third quarter 2025 production guidance to reflect 43 days of contribution from Sitio assets. The company increased its Q3 net production guidance to 908-938 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, up from the previous range of 890-920 thousand barrels per day. Oil production guidance rose to 494-504 thousand barrels per day from 485-495 thousand barrels per day.
Viper Energy's Q3 guidance calls for net production of 104.0-110.0 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day and oil production of 54.5-57.5 thousand barrels per day.
The company said it will provide updated full-year 2025 guidance with its third quarter earnings release in November 2025.
Diamondback Energy is an independent oil and natural gas company based in Midland, Texas, focused on unconventional reserves in the Permian Basin. Viper Energy is Diamondback's publicly traded subsidiary that owns mineral and royalty interests in oil-weighted basins, primarily the Permian Basin.
