VMware (VMW) Dips on Management Shake-Up; Q1 Numbers May Exceed Outlook

VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW) shares are down about 5 percent Wednesday as the company shook up its management structure.
CFO Mark Peek left the company, while Carl Eschenbach was promoted to COO.
Notably, VMware also announced that financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 are expected to broadly meet or slightly exceed the range of previously issued financial guidance. In January, VMware said it sees first-quarter revs of $1.015 billion to $1.040 billion.
