Urban Outfitters Inc. (NASDAQ: URBN) reported net sales increased 9% for the two months ended December 31, 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, according to a company statement.
The retail segment posted 7% growth with comparable retail sales rising 5%. Digital channel sales and retail store sales both showed mid single-digit positive growth during the period. Among brands, Urban Outfitters comparable retail sales increased 9%, Free People rose 5%, and Anthropologie gained 3%. FP Movement brand comparable retail sales increased 18%.
The subscription segment, which includes the Nuuly rental service, recorded 43% growth driven by a 41% increase in average active subscribers compared to the prior year. Wholesale segment sales increased 13%, primarily from higher Free People sales to department stores.
For the eleven months ended December 31, 2025, total company net sales increased 11% compared to the same period in 2024. Retail segment sales rose 8% with comparable retail sales up 6%. The subscription segment grew 51% with a 46% increase in average active subscribers, while wholesale segment sales increased 15%.
During the eleven-month period, the company opened 58 new retail locations, including 36 Free People stores, 13 Anthropologie stores, and 9 Urban Outfitters stores. The company closed 7 locations during the same period.
As of December 31, 2025, Urban Outfitters operated 775 stores across its brands in the United States, Canada, and Europe, along with 9 restaurants and 9 franchisee-owned stores.
