Sequans adds 34 bitcoins to treasury, now holds 3,205 BTC

Sequans Communications S.A. (NYSE: SQNS) acquired an additional 34 bitcoins for approximately $3.8 million, the company announced September 2. The purchase price averaged $111,374 per bitcoin, including fees.

As of September 1, 2025, the cellular IoT semiconductor company holds 3,205 bitcoins. The total net investment in bitcoin amounts to approximately $374 million, reflecting an average acquisition price of $116,653 per bitcoin including fees.

Sequans describes itself as a pioneer in adopting bitcoin as its primary treasury reserve asset. The Paris-based company's strategy involves acquiring and holding bitcoin using proceeds from equity and debt offerings, cash from operations, and intellectual property monetization.

The company specializes in 4G/5G cellular technology for Internet of Things applications and offers solutions including LTE-M/NB-IoT, 4G LTE Cat 1bis, and 5G NR RedCap platforms. Founded in 2003, Sequans operates globally with offices in multiple countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Israel, Singapore, Finland, Taiwan, and China.
