Scienture Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: SCNX) reported net revenue of $431,609 for 2025, representing a 216% increase from $136,643 in 2024, driven by the commercial launch of its FDA-approved drug Arbli.
The specialty pharmaceutical company launched Arbli, a liquid formulation of losartan for hypertension treatment, in September 2025 after receiving FDA approval in March. Arbli is the first FDA-approved liquid formulation of losartan that does not require compounding.
Scienture's gross margin expanded to 76.8% in 2025, an increase of 7,240 basis points from the previous year. The company reduced research and development expenses by 13% to $2.0 million.
Net loss from continuing operations reached $41.5 million for 2025, compared to $18.2 million in 2024. The increase was primarily attributed to a one-time, non-cash impairment charge of $26.3 million. Excluding this charge, the net loss improved to $15.2 million.
The company completed the acquisition of REZENOPY, a naloxone nasal spray, in March 2025 and expects to launch the product in the second quarter of 2026. REZENOPY is the highest-dose FDA-approved naloxone nasal spray for emergency treatment of opioid overdose.
As of December 31, 2025, Scienture had cash and cash equivalents of $6.7 million and positive working capital of $5.2 million. The company plans to expand its sales force from 9 to 16 representatives in the second quarter of 2026.
Scienture must regain compliance with Nasdaq's minimum bid price requirement by April 13, 2026, or may be eligible for an additional 180-day compliance period.
The company's pipeline includes SCN-102 for migraine treatment, with an NDA filing expected in the second half of 2027, and SCN-106 for thrombosis treatment, with a BLA filing expected in the second half of 2028.
