Sanuwave Health Inc. (NASDAQ: SNWV) reported preliminary first-quarter 2026 revenue of $9.6 million to $9.7 million, representing a 3-4% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The results fell within the company's previously issued guidance range.
The Eden Prairie, Minnesota-based medical device company develops FDA-approved directed energy systems for advanced wound care applications. According to the company, several deals moved beyond the first quarter, bringing results toward the lower end of the guidance range.
"Q1 has been a sort of reckoning in the wound care space as practitioners and customers came to terms with some significant changes in reimbursement for skin substitutes and allografts," said CEO Morgan Frank in a statement. Frank noted that reimbursement changes caused market participants to pause activities in advanced wound care.
The company reported increased interest at the SAWC conference in Charlotte, with busy booth traffic and full workshops. Frank indicated the company plans to maintain its market approach rather than reducing activities.
Sanuwave stated the preliminary revenue figures are based on management's initial analysis and may be subject to adjustments pending completion of the quarter-end financial close process. The company plans to provide complete first-quarter results in May.
The company's product portfolio focuses on regenerative medicine products for wound healing, with additional research applications in orthopedic, aesthetic, and cardiac conditions using its patented energy transfer technologies.
