Royal Gold reports $311M in stream sales for Q2 2026

Royal Gold, Inc. (NASDAQ: RGLD) released preliminary financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, showing stream segment sales of $311.0 million, or approximately 69,000 gold equivalent ounces at a cost of $871 per ounce.

Stream segment commodity sales included 54,500 ounces of gold, 595,500 ounces of silver, 2.5 million pounds of copper, and 1.3 million pounds of zinc. Royalty segment sales are estimated in the range of $137 million to $142 million, with depreciation, depletion and amortization estimated between $95 million and $99 million. Gold equivalent ounces were calculated using an average London PM gold fixing price of $4,506 per ounce for the quarter.

Notable financial items during the quarter included the repayment of $200 million in debt, leaving an outstanding balance of $400 million on the revolving credit facility with $1.0 billion undrawn. The company also repurchased 147,205 shares at an average price of $203.80 per share for total consideration of $30 million, with those shares subsequently cancelled.

Royal Gold and Americas Gold and Silver Corporation settled remaining fixed gold delivery obligations tied to the Relief Canyon mine. Under the agreement, Americas delivered 5,000 ounces of gold immediately and 2,652,532 common shares in exchange for canceling an obligation to deliver 8,861 ounces between June 2026 and December 2027. The settlement resulted in approximately $12 million of additional depreciation, depletion and amortization expense.

The company also funded $70 million in project costs related to the Hod Maden Project and made a $50 million advance payment to Solaris Resources Inc. under a stream agreement for the Warintza Project.

Full second quarter results are scheduled for release after market close on August 5, 2026, followed by a conference call on August 6, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The preliminary figures are unaudited and subject to revision upon completion of quarter-end closing procedures.
